At a new development in Takeley, hydroseeding was carried out to bunds and around a pond using a drought-tolerant wildflower seed mix. The bunds were formed from particularly poor-quality soils, so an additional application of green hydroseeding mulch was used to enhance the site’s appearance while supporting early establishment prior to germination.
The selected wildflower mix was specifically suited to slopes and areas prone to low moisture levels, ensuring long-term resilience. Species included ox-eye daisy, yellow rattle, and viper’s bugloss, creating a diverse and visually attractive landscape while promoting biodiversity across the site.

Cobbins Brook Flood Alleviation Project
Cobbins Brook Flood Storage Reservoir was the preferred option for a flood alleviation scheme to reduce the risk of flooding to the town of Waltham Abbey, Essex.
We were tasked with the preparation and sowing of a diverse and native sward of wildflowers around the new flood storage area creating a large habitat for mammals, insects and invertebrates.

Birds Nest Farm
Cultivation and conventional wildflower seeding to a private ex- paddock for a private customer in Cambridgeshire. Despite the hot summer of 2022 and rich soils making life difficult for the flowers sown at this local site, the damp and mild spring of 2023 saw a fantastic and diverse range of flowers coming through for a very happy and satisfied customer.
