At a new housing development in Barham, Suffolk, hydroseeding was carried out across three attenuation basins to establish vegetation in areas prone to wet conditions. A specialist seed mix, provided by the client, was used to suit the challenging environment and ensure successful establishment. Hydroseeding allowed for efficient and even coverage across the basins, helping to stabilise the soil and promote healthy growth in these moisture-rich areas.

As part of a large-scale HS2 restoration project, we hydroseeded an extensive 21-hectare area using wildflower seed mixes supplied by the client. Due to the scale of the site and limited road access, an agricultural tractor was required to manoeuvre the hydroseeder efficiently across the terrain. All works were carried out to strict technical specifications, ensuring consistent application and successful establishment across this significant restoration landscape.

Hydroseeding was undertaken at Kings Dyke following the reconstruction of a bank after a landslide. The bank was engineered with drainage holes using repurposed bricks from a local brickyard, supporting both function and sustainability. To maximise seed establishment on the slope, wood mulch was applied at a higher rate, helping to reduce seed movement, retain moisture, and improve seed-to-soil contact. This approach ensured effective stabilisation and long-term vegetation growth.

At a new substation development in Little Horsted, hydroseeding was used across approximately 2 hectares within large tree-planted areas. A clover-based seed mix was selected to enhance ground cover and support soil health. With challenging access across the site, hydroseeding proved to be the ideal solution, allowing efficient application in areas that would have been difficult to reach using traditional methods. The result was a consistent, well-established finish across the site.

Ouse Washes Middle Level Bank Raising
Since 2017 we have been contracted to undertake a combined total of 19,000,000 m2 of seeding and vegetation management to the flood embankments along the highly environmentally sensitive Ouse Washes Nature Reserve and Flood Storage Reservoir. The seeding was successfully carried out by mobilising a mixture of hydroseeding and conventional seeding, with the established seeded areas and banks being maintained by tractor, flail and by strimming more ecologically sensitive areas.

Fleam Dyke & Devil Dyke’s Cambridgeshire
2005 & 2018 saw us work on both these historic sites. We worked closely with Emorsgate seeds to acquire and sow native grasses to both Devil's dyke and Fleam dyke after they had been cleared of scrub.
The steep banks of both earthworks have species-rich chalk grassland, a rare habitat in the county. Fleam dyke is the only Cambridgeshire site for the common juniper whilst Devils Dyke boasts rare plants, such as purple milk-vetch, bastard toadflax and pasque flowers. Both sites are registered as a biological 'Site of Special Scientific Interest.'

Woburn Center Parcs
Challenging and unorthodox access was overcome by deploying and utilising a series of ladders, scaffolding and retractable fall restraint systems to allow safe access for operatives and equipment to complete the Hydroseeding to the Living Roof at Woburn Center Parcs. Sedum was successfully sown via hydroseeding to a growing medium comprised of a blend of crushed brick and organic waste materials

Southend Seafront
In 2013 we Hydroseeded a large repair to an area of landslip on Southend Sea front, we hydroseeded a mixture of British native wildflowers to the stepped areas and a low maintenance stabilising amenity grass mixture to the slopes.
